If there is one thing to be said about my feelings on Rachel and Greg’s wedding day, it is “relaxed.” Rachel and Greg were one of the most laid back couples I have had the pleasure of photographing, which was clearly because they were so sure of their love with each other. Come whatever may that day, in the end, all that matters is that they were getting married! Of course, everything still went smoothly, and the day was beautiful from start to finish! We started off the morning at the Champaign County courthouse, where the two enjoyed a small ceremony with close friends and family. After they were officially legally married (and after we all grabbed a bite to eat), the two started getting ready for their large ceremony, which took place out at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana. During the ceremony, guests supplied the music by singing together to the Beatles as Rachel and Greg were lead to the archway by their parents. The sun lit up the ceremony space through the golden hour while the loving couple expressed their vows and shared their first kiss. After the ceremony, we stopped by the prairie grass to grab a quick photo as the sun was setting. The guests filtered over to Pizza M for the reception, where an intimate room in the back provided a great space to mix and mingle with other guests and, of course, the newlyweds. A highlight of the reception included Rachel and Greg, always thinking about music, leading the crowd in songs, including "In Heaven There Is No Beer." Congrats, Rachel and Greg, and thanks again for letting me be a part of your big day! |
