Courtney & Christian - Engagement session, Lebanon

11/29/2014

Comments

When my sister-in-law Courtney approached me about doing engagement photos of her and her fiance, I was so thrilled I said "yes!" right away! We scheduled the photos for the Saturday after Thanksgiving, hoping that it wouldn't be too cold yet. Luckily, it wasn't! We took photos at Horner Park in Lebanon, which is where Courtney and Christian had their first date, as well as where they became engaged. It was special to share in a place that meant so much to the two of them.

Peyton - 2015 Senior, Highland

11/15/2014

Comments

Peyton's mom first contacted me about doing a senior session after mentioning that she loved the photos I had taken for Julia earlier that school year. With the days starting to grow short due to the approaching winter months, we quickly scheduled a Saturday session a few weeks away. When the day came, meteorologists were calling for a few inches of snow and cold temperatures...and they were right! While we were taking photos outside the Erwin Weder Museum, Peyton, her mother, her little sister, and I were pelted by ice. But everyone was a trooper, and the photos we took were absolutely gorgeous. Being encouraged by the beautiful images we were capturing, we continued onward to Silver Lake Park and the town square to continue the session. Despite the cold temperatures and our snowy hair, everyone left feeling great about the session, and Peyton's photos turned out fantastic!

Zach (and Gus!) - Portrait Session, Champaign

11/9/2014

Comments

Zach wanted to take some photographs of him and his dog, Fungus, to give as gifts for Christmas. Zach and I have been good friends for about a year now, and I have met Gus on multiple occasions, so I said "you bet!". We met at Dana Colbert in Savoy, and the giant hill and pretty lake provided a great backdrop for the portraits, even though it was a bit windy on top of the hill. Gus is a bit of a stinker since he's still young, but we got him to (mostly) behave and managed to get some good shots of the two of them. After we were done with Gus, Zach and I took some solo portraits.
