As a Thank You for all my fans' continued support over the past two years, I held a contest on my Facebook page for a free mini-session, where the winner would win a 1-hour photoshoot with me, as well as 10 finalized images after the shoot. Ana was the grand prize winner! As a Animal Sciences/Pre-Vet undergrad at the University of Illinois, she wanted to do a senior portrait session around campus, and as a U of I grad myself, I was very eager to please! We took photos at all the famous spots around campus, including the Alumni Fountain, the Quad, and of course the Alma Mater. We also visited the Animal Science Lab, where Ana spends most of her time in classes. Plus, we had so much fun, and there were so many amazing photos, that I just had to give her more than ten, and ended up editing 20 photos of her instead :). My husband and I recently purchased our first home, and right behind the backyard is a little wooded area with wild grass and growing trees. I believe it's designated as a prairie restoration area. I had a little extra time on a Fall afternoon and decided to go explore the area for the first time, snapping some photos of the changing leaves and wild weeds. The result was a relaxing afternoon of me-time, shooting and editing some photos in beautiful nature. The summer coming to a close, I met with the lovely ladies of the Classy Combinations Belly Dance Troupe of Champaign for a photoshoot during one of the last warm evenings of the season. We met at the Boneyard Creek Second Street Basin, which offered fantastic backdrops, including a waterfall and pond, without distracting from their vibrant belly dance garb and even brighter faces :). After taking troupe photos around the park, we had time for individual shots as the sun started setting, casting lovely pink hues. |
