Angel & Jordan were winners of an engagement session at the Your Perfect Wedding Showcase, and I am so happy I drew their name to win! Their engagement session was a little chilly, but the two of them were troopers and kept each other warm by holding each other close. We met at the U of I Japan House and arboretum for photos out in nature before going to downtown Urbana for some photos at Sipyard, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to take photos in Champaign-Urbana. It was a great evening spent with a very loving couple! When I met Alison and Justin for their engagement session, the love they clearly had for each other filled me with so much joy! We took photos at Justin's family home outside of O'Fallon during golden hour when the trees and sky were all aglow. The session started off on a fun note--Justin loves hunting, so we took some photos where he posed as a deer and Alison held a "The hunt is over!" sign. We then took photos around the farm, taking advantage of the beautiful barns and scenery. The session ended as the sun was setting, which led to many absolutely stunning images. I can't wait to capture your 2017 wedding, Alison and Justin! Makenzie and Josh are one of the most smiley couples I’ve ever met. Throughout their entire engagement session, they were laughing with each other and just generally enjoying each other’s company, and you could tell they were very much in love! And the story of how they met is as cute as it comes—the two met in college when Makenzie was giving a bunch of incoming freshmen a tour of campus. Josh happened to be in the group and was smitten by his beautiful tour guide! For their session, we took photos out at Lake of the Woods in Mahomet, which is one of my favorite places to photograph since it is always gorgeous out there. We had fantastic weather and were able to enjoy the setting sun, which provided a swoon-worthy backdrop for photos by the lake. |
